Version processing and archiving complete the sequence through as-02

AMA supports as-02 MXF master production format to easily manage multiple versions of the same sequence, and as-02 saves storage space by incorporating everything into a single package without duplicating assets. Move content seamlessly between Avid and other as-02 enabled systems using JPEG 2000, DNxHD, IMX, avc-intra, and uncompressed media in your as-02 workflow. Because as-02 is an open industry standard, you don't have to waste time repackaging content.

Create master-quality archives using JPEG 2000

Using JPEG 2000 codecs to master-quality encode and decode helps maintain the quality of versioning and archiving content in the as-02 workflow. Because JPEG 2000 content provides resolution extensibility, you gain the future flexibility of archiving content as you move content across different vendor solutions to accommodate multiple generations of content

Export content using AMA

AMA is based on media and can access and edit media directly without transcoding. You can now use AMA to export files to the original source format of the media for archiving or final delivery. AMA writebacks are available for HDCAM SR, and you will have more options as our partners update/develop their AMA plug-ins. With the new AMA set export support, you can create as-02, JPEG 2000, DNxHD, avc-i, and other file-based media volumes for round-trip workflow, sharing, or archiving.

With the new effective format description (AFD) support, you can create, edit, set up, and deliver HD content to ensure that it is optimized and presented to your audience as expected, even when the different aspect ratios are converted down and reformatted.
